Engagement
Statutory financial audit
An independent examination of your annual financial statements under Taiwanese reporting practice, ending in a written audit opinion and management letter.
Who this engagement serves
Manufacturers, trading houses, and professional firms that must present audited financial statements to a bank, a board, or a regulator. We focus on entities with Taiwanese operations — single company or a small group with related parties in the region.
What is included
- Independence and conflict check before the engagement letter is issued
- Planning meeting covering materiality, significant risks, and your fiscal year-end calendar
- Substantive testing of revenue, receivables, inventory, cash, and key expenses
- Cut-off and subsequent-events procedures around the reporting date
- Draft opinion for management review, then signed opinion and management letter
What is excluded
We do not prepare your books from scratch, file tax returns, or act as your outsourced accounting department. Bookkeeping cleanup, if needed, must be completed by your team or a separate bookkeeper before fieldwork begins.
How the work runs
- Scoping call — industry, locations, systems, prior auditor status.
- Engagement letter — fee, timetable, responsibilities of both parties.
- Interim procedures — optional mid-year testing when controls allow.
- Year-end fieldwork — on-site or hybrid, including inventory observation where stock is material.
- Reporting — draft findings, clearance of open items, final opinion.
Preparation we ask of you
Provide trial balances, bank confirmations, inventory listings, related-party schedules, and access to the general ledger. Assign a single finance contact who can answer cut-off questions within one business day during fieldwork.
Next step
Schedule a call with your fiscal year-end and a short description of your business. We aim to return a draft engagement letter within five business days of receiving the information we need.
